What it explores

The project asks what a computer could look like if the dependency structure of a computation—its dataflow—were part of the foundation, rather than something reconstructed while instructions run.

By representing work as nodes and examining their dependencies before execution, the aim is to connect software and hardware through a coherent, efficient model. The initial focus is embedded and edge computing, where predictable timing and energy efficiency are valuable.

Approach

Rather than beginning with a machine intended to do everything, the work starts in small, constrained environments where ideas can be tested clearly.

  1. An IP core or coprocessor alongside an MCU or SoC
  2. A standalone embedded controller
  3. A longer-term path toward broader computation
