Moving from WordPress to a static site
We move your current design and content to a site that no longer runs WordPress.
- Less to attack — the admin screen, plugins, and PHP, the usual entry points for takeovers and defacement, are no longer part of the site.
- No plugin or server updates — only finished pages are published, so there is no software to keep patched.
- Faster pages — pages are served directly from Cloudflare’s global network.
- Lower running costs — for a small site, hosting costs next to nothing. Your main ongoing cost is the domain (roughly ¥1,000–5,000 a year).
- You can still post updates — news and project pages can be edited from a browser.
- What the migration covers — replacing the contact form, redirects from old URLs, reconnecting analytics, switching the domain, and shutting down the old WordPress site.
We also migrate plain HTML sites on a VPS or shared hosting, and WordPress running on a VPS. If a site has been compromised, we check that suspicious code and links are not carried over.
New websites
- Built on a theme — choose one of our themes, and we add your text and photos and launch it.
- From your own design — if you already have a finished design, we build it as a website.
Both include a way to update news yourself and a contact form. We generally do not create designs from scratch.

Your assets stay yours
Your domain, delivery settings (Cloudflare), and site data (GitHub) all live in your own accounts. Grus Systems only receives access through invitations. After you end maintenance you can keep updating the site with the same editor, or move to another provider at any time.
We never ask for your passwords. Access is granted through invitations from your accounts or temporary users.
How it works

- Report — we send a report on speed, the software in use, and whether the site can be migrated (within 2 business days).
- Free 30-minute consultation — online, covering costs, running costs, and how updates work after migration.
- Quote — a fixed price based on the size of the site.
- Agreement and start — we start once the deposit is received.
- Preview — you review the site before launch (two rounds of changes included).
- Launch and handover — we switch the domain and walk you through updating the site.
Once materials and access are in place, we deliver a preview in 3–10 business days. AI-assisted conversion lets us finish in days what often takes agencies weeks. Prices are fixed per task, never by the hour.
What we don’t take on
- Online shops (carts and payments) and members-only pages
- Moving WordPress to another WordPress host
- Investigating or recovering a compromised server
Bookings and shops can often be handled by linking to or embedding an existing service. Sites built mainly around dynamic features, such as an in-house booking system, are considered case by case.

Frequently asked questions
Will the design change?
No. We carry over your current design and content.
Is a static site completely secure?
Nothing is completely secure. But because there is no admin screen or plugins exposed to the outside, the most common ways WordPress sites are taken over or defaced largely disappear.
Can I keep a contact form?
Yes. During migration we replace it with a form that includes spam protection. One form is included; additional forms are extra.
What happens to my email?
Before switching the domain, we record every mail setting and carry it over. After the switch, we confirm that sending and receiving still work.
How do I update the site?
Enter your news in a browser-based editor and save; the site updates automatically. We give you a 30-minute walkthrough at handover.
Do you work with clients outside Hokkaido?
Yes. Meetings are held online, and we take on work from anywhere in Japan.
