We have a new logo and icon

We have refreshed the site’s logo and icon.

• The crane is drawn with a few simple facets: the body is orange, and the head and tail are the red of the red-crowned crane (tancho)
• The logo in the header and footer, the browser tab icon, the home screen icon and the image shown when a link is shared all change

Grus is Latin for “crane”. In keeping with a name taken from the red-crowned cranes of Hokkaido, we brought in their red.

If your browser still shows the old icon, reloading the page will bring up the new one.
